Dance Classes
The RCHS Dance Classes are open to anyone who is interested in learning Colonial period dances. It is a fun time for the family - we have adults as well as children involved in our classes.

You are not required to perform publicly in order to come to classes and learn. Please join us one evening for a bit of fun or just to come and watch!

We meet on the 2nd and 4th Friday of each month at 7:30pm at St. George's Episcopal Church, 905 Princess Anne Street, Fredericksburg. We meet in the Family Room which is located at the George Street entrance. There is a suggested donation of $2 per class.

Dance Demonstration Team
The Dance Demonstration Team is a group of people who are dedicated to coming to rehearsals, having the proper attire and who are available to do dance demonstrations at events.

We have performed for such venues as Stratford Hall, Gunston Hall, Montpelier, George Washington Birthplace National Monument, Historic Dumfries, VA, Weems-Botts Museum in Dumfries, VA, Historic Port Royal, VA, Fredericksburg's Candlelight Tour, and First Night, March Muster, Fielding Lewis Market Days, and Ferry Farm - just to name a few.

If you wish to join us, we have attire for loan for those who haven't acquired their wardrobe yet. In order to perform or participate in any events we do require that you be a current member of RCHS for liability concerns and insurance reasons. Membership is $10 individual or $15 family annually.

Demonstration dance classes are useally held the 1st & 3rd Fridays of the month at St. George's Episcopal Church. If you have a wish to perform with the demo group you should attend these classes. Demo Classes are open to everyone, but format varies from our regular 2nd & 4th Friday dance classes with the concentration being on footwork, technique, & style. Soft sole dance shoes strongly suggested. Please see the calendar for any scheduling changes this month.
